CHITTAGONG, Jan 11: To celebrate 40th year of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Bangladesh, Hotel Agrabad and Bangladesh-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly organized 'Myanmar Live Cultural Show and Myanmar Cuisine' at Hotel Agrabad in the city on Monday.
Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Lwin was present as chief guest on the occasion. Honorary Consul General of Myanmar HM Hakim Ali and vice president of Bangladesh-Myanmar Chamber Yacoob Md Arif gave details about cultural, historical and brotherly relation between the two countries and urged the concerned authorities to further strengthen it in future.
Mr Lwin said there is high prospect of building greater relations based on friendship. Assistant High Commissioner of India in Chittagong Somnath Ghose and other dignitaries of the city were present.
Artists of Myanmar presented songs and dances which were enjoyed by the attending guests. A food festival of Myanmar was held on the occasion.
